Hello and welcome to Cricinfo's live coverage of the fifth and
final day's play.
Australia require another 399 runs with 10 wickets remaining -
It's advantage England here at Old Trafford.
10-15 years ago one could have easily said that there is only two
results possible from here on, but the way Test cricket is played
these days it would be a mistake to rule out and an Australian win
even though it is highly improbable.
I am Sajan Nair, and i will be your commentator for the first
session of the day.
weather looks fine and already it is a full house
Hayden to take strike, Harmison is at the top of his run-up
here we go!

Come on England 10 Wickets needed

moved slightly away great bowling.

On paternity leave, so I have the whole day 10 ft from the wicket, with my boy at silly mid on.

And mum in the outfield.:lolol:

16.3 Giles to Ponting, three runs, tossed up on the stumps and Ponting
is made to drive, ball takes the edge and races away to the vacant
third man region, Giles looking good here!

19.4 Flintoff to Hayden, FOUR, edged but wide, regulation catch if a
third slip was in place but..., Hayden survives
19.3 Flintoff to Ponting, one run, forced away wide of the cover
fielder, easy single
19.3 Flintoff to Ponting, (noball) SIX, shot! short and angling in,
Ponting rocks back and pulls it away over the square leg fence,
made it look easy

Looks like they arent afraid to hit out, hopefully we can get some of the luck soon and one of these edges will go to a fielder.

In their partnership photos, Hayden reminds me of the Muppets bald eagle, & Ponting, Ian Hislop.
