[TV] Serena Williams

Surprised there has not been a thread considering the love of tennis on the board and her status in the game given her announcement of impending retirement.

Sadly lost last night in the Toronto Open in one of her final games, but received huge love, admiration and appreciation by all in attendance. By all accounts probably/possibly the greatest tennis player of all time, leaves a huge legacy for the game and will be sadly missed by all members of the tennis family.

On my one and only time on the Wimbledon Centre Court, I watched her absolutely demolish her opponent (who was a seeded player). She looked like she was playing a different game, she was so far ahead.

I'm not a big tennis fan but she's one of those sportspeople who transcend their sport. I'm glad I saw her at her peak.
