[Albion] Missing Defender

Thinking about my first Albion Xl from 1976. I can remember the entire team except for one of the Centre backs. The team was
Peter Grummitt
Ken Tiler
Chris Catlin
Andy Rollins
?
Bobby Horton
Steve Piper
Peter OSullivan
Tony Townes
Ian Mellor
Peter Ward

but can’t think of the missing player. Any ideas please

That name doesn’t ring a bell I’m afraid

I would imagine it was who was replaced by Mark Lawrenson

My Auntie embroidered all the names onto my scarf so I’d like to think I would know it when I see it

Amazingly as soon as I saw that list I thought of Graham Winstanley. That team was the first I saw and it is etched permanently in my brain - with Sammy Morgan and Gerry Fell around it too. I sometimes forget players from a few years back, so that lot must have been special.

Gerry Fell was the regular sub

Always seemed to replace Steve Piper with about 15 minutes to go

You’re absolutely right I actually typed Nobby but good old autocorrect has done me there! I should have checked
