I come from an age where the deaths of people of my age are only reported in the local newspaper. As long as I don’t lead an exiting life I guess I’m OK.

Reminds me of a headline in the Evening Standard years ago : "Queen in Palace Brawl". Not what it seems to mean! It referred to Gerry Queen of our friends up the road getting involved in scuffle during a match......
The fact is, the paper versions of these papers are all dying out and they need a new income. Sadly, that now comes from click-bait titles for hits on their website and advertising income from those advertising on said pages. I still think Brian Owen is a decent football journo too who is still pretty reliable.
I struggle to get why people get so angry about it all (as with most things). The Argus is never going to get the transfer scoop ahead of the bigger agencies.
