Always had a soft spot/hard spot for Kate Bush when I was a young lad, no idea what she looks like today.
Always struck me being as mad as a box of frogs.

It really is very affecting, her music and how it is used in Episode 4 of the new series of Stranger Things.

The show incidentally has returned to form IMO, after losing its way a bit over the last couple of seasons. Halfway through the new series and absolutely hooked.

She did a couple of shows at the Seven Stars (aka Old Vic and birth place of the Albion) in Ship Street before she'd recorded anything. Billed as the KT Bush Band.

As anyone who grew up in that era would love to have testified, One in Kate Bush is worth two in the hand.

I was into yin and yang and hatha yoga
Ginseng and caraway seeds and being a non-smoker
My carrot quiches were better than the bought ones
And I was thicker than two short ones
People bought my latest hits
Cos they liked my latex tits
Everyone trying hard
To get inside my leotard

Despite all the Punk Rock, Post Punk, Madchester, Radiohead type genres I’ve been through, The Kick Inside remains one of my favourite albums (she was only 18 y’know)

Absolutely phenomenal album. Her and Weller produced incredible output at an age when most people are still learning how to open a sleeve of Weetabix without spilling loads of wheaty crumbs over the kitchen floor/work surface/table (delete as applicable)

Don't give up, her duet with Peter Gabriel really knocked it out of the park

I was never a fan of Kate Bush when I was growing up - she scared me a little bit tbh...BUT, Running up that Hill fit perfectly into Stranger Things and, I have to admit, is an all time classic.
Still dont like the rest of her stuff though.

As a 54 year old, I have many fond memories of her work.
I was just the right age to appreciate her art.

I was often so affected by the quality of her performances on top of the pops, that I would take myself off to a quiet place, for some serious contemplation.

You'd have been around 10 - 11 years old. Impressive work, sir.
