Oh yes, Yesterday. What an overrated dirge.

And Another Brick in the Wall. Trite drivel from a bunch of posh blokes pretending not to be.

So many for me.

Mull of Kintyre
Let it be
Hey Jude
Yesterday

But enough of Paul McCartney

The ones for me were always the ones that crap bands try to cover

Black Magic Woman
All Right Now
Honky Tonk Women
Cocaine
etc

So you avoid them for years, and when you actually hear the originals again years later you realise the are f***ing excellent, but ruined by pub wannabes

Shiver me timbers, H, Lady in Red is a song that managed to rhyme 'Dance' with 'Romance,' something that isnae scientifically possible.

I can't stand 'Imagine'

.

Saccharine nonsense that's pretty much someone singing the Communist manifesto.

Otherwise there's some fairly wide definitions of "classic" here. Does anyone consider UB40s covers or anything U2 did after "Sunday Bloody Sunday" classics? All of that entire output blows like a hundred dollar hooker.

Most of the songs listed I'd agree I dislike but that's a combination of just hearing them much too often / what they've become associated with (adverts, a cringe singalong, political parties. "peace" etc) / the type of bellends who like them... Shirley? I bet many, if I'd heard them fresh at release I'd be "this is amazing".

Many people dislike Dylan because of That Voice but his lyrical and compositional brilliance is undeniable (often highlighted when covered).

My personal dislike: My Way, whether by Sinatra or anyone. Oh the cringe of it.

On the Border
Don't Stop Believin' - Journey
All I Want For Christmas Is You - Mariah Carey
Never Gonna Give You Up - Rick Astley
Baby - Justin Bieber
Macarena - By whoever released it, plus the stupid dance
I Wanna Dance With Somebody - Witney Houston
Baby One More Time - Britney Spears
500 Miles - The Proclaimers
Livin' On A Prayer - Bon Jovi

All songs by American Hair Bands
All Dylan songs (other than Hurricane) sung by Dylan. Great songwriter but can't stand his voice.
She, any version (which includes the Elvis Costello one)

And probably a load more
