Weir and Tolaj to return after loans too (OK, they're already back at the Albion - or at least their loans have ended - as is Teddy Jenks).

Where have Dendoncker and Baluta gone? - Wiki has them still at Brighton.

U21s count from 1st Jan 2001, not 2000....

At some point I'll work it properly but my latest back of an envelope quick tot up is that we currently will have 31 players over 21 ( including Baluta and Groß )

Baluta has been released. Yep. I doubt Weir, Tolaj and Jenks will be close to the first team squad next season. Either u23s or more loans for them i guess.

Thanking you kindly for doing this. It's really helpful, as has the similar contributions from Blue Valkyrie over the years. A couple of points:
-- there have been claims that both Welbeck and Trossard have options for an extra year, and GP's post-Leeds comments certainly indicated that he's confident that Welbeck will be with us next season
-- despite the comprehensivity of this, you haven't yet indicated what the * refers to

Sure Duffy will leave? I'm not, unless on loan. He's got one year left on his contract, and I don't believe he'll get anything better than Championship level now - which would mean a considerable pay cut.
Financially for him the best thing would be to see out his contract here for one more year - the only other way out of the Albion will be if he goes on a loan where we don't pay all of his wages.

A loan to championship side Leeds could be on the cards. They never replaced Ben White

As you have said before, it could be an interesting summer

It’s a ridiculously large squad when everybody is back, especially considering the strength of our youth teams even without the loanees. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s quite a big cull amongst the fringe youngsters- cut price moves aplenty.

Oh I do hope the ones you want to sell are the ones other people want to buy - otherwise it gets a bit tricky. I've got an old bike I want to get rid of - don't seem to be any buyers around though. Good luck getting a good price for out of contract Cochrane (unless he's signed an extension) - and why terminate Connolly's contract? Spite? It won't save us anything as we'd have to pay it off - and he'd be a totally free agent with no chance of us getting a penny, either for a sale or for a loan.

It’s large but hardly ridiculous - sensible given our model and investment in youth/loans etc. last season we had 20 loanees, and plenty of incomings and outgoings and a reset of our u18s and u23s. We tend to do it every season. To call that activity “a big cull” and suggest there’s a need for “cut price” exits is perhaps harsh. I’d just call it business as usual .

We have an option for Cochrane

Sell is hypothetical, probably a bit harsh on Connolly but I think we and him both need to cut ties, best for both parties, we won't get money for him so best to terminate.

Also if Cochrane leaves, I believe it goes to tribunal (not 100%).

We don't do cut price moves.

Some will be released, others loaned and others specifically targeted at the U23s as some of the current ressies hopefully come into match day contention with the first team. Anyone we sell we will get value for. It's literally the business model. Have you not been paying attention at all?
