A great (1 day) player and apparently a David Boon level boozer as well...
I remember him being signed up for a single game (1 day C&G quarter-final) for Lancs vs. us at Old Trafford and he won it on his own.
Cheating ******** but we did them over in 2006 of course even though they did the same with Kartik...

Awful news again.
He was a brilliant player at a time when the Aussie’s just seemed to produce world class player after world class player. They were so prolific they could have produced a second team of players who weren’t quite their first choice like Symonds and they’d still have been the second best national team in the world after their first team.

I was there at the Boxing Day test in 2006 when Symonds scored a big hundred and Warnie took his 700th test wicket. Both gone too soon.
