Yesterday as I was strolling around Knep Castle Estate I was struck by the variety and beauty of the various avian choirs.

Today there is a rook- raven- Blackbird thing in my neighbours garden screeching RARK RARK RARK

Is the above the Avian equivalent of the always ultras?

If it looked like it was wearing shorts it was a rook
If it was making a screeching noise it wasn't a blackbird
If you're not sure it's a crow or a raven it's probably a crow

Could have been magpies raiding blackbirds nests.

You’re probably right. I mean they’re all in black and shit everywhere is a good indicator of our friends up the road.

We have a cousin of the minor bird up our allotment, called the southern manure bird, which is black with red flecks and sounds like its crying all the time, never getting any attention.
Always bottom of the European pecking order.
I gather there were some hanging around the Amex last Sat evening :D

I’d fly over Selhurst tomorrow
And shit and the B******s below, below.

First part needs a bit of work, but better than what we’ve got.

I'd say it's a Raven, for sure not a Blackbird. They have a nice song.
