Ibrahim looked half asleep: he set off for the first run so slowly, he was always in trouble - there was definitely three there.
Rawlins will, no doubt, be out having a swish very shortly
I think that’s flattering Coles. He doesn’t done a lot despite having some good opportunities at Sussex and the England age groups. Lenham and Ibrahim are both also young, and have made more an impression.
Also Clark (despite also having a poor record) did ok in pre season so deserves a go.
Coles is a classy looking batsman, and his bowling is more effective than it looks.
It’s healthy that he has has not made the team, though.

Great stuff from Clark. Not sure what happened with the dismissal? The ball either kept very low, or jagged back in to an alarming degree. Pretty sure there was no inside edge.

Well, nice to see a good morning session at Hove.
Also a surprise plus of Sussex losing so much in the last couple of years is an actual matchday discussion rather than endless joke posts about how we'll throw the game away!
Some encouraging youngsters. Lenham looking confident, Clark seems highly rated and what a fine knock. Maybe it's a bit more than just the openers after all.

Decent 24 that from Lenham, didn't expect that much from a 17 year old and thought he did well.
