Damn fine actor and playing the main role in my perhaps all-time favorite movie, Smoke.

Very good actor it's no coincidence some of my favourite movies have him in them, Children of a Lesser god being a particular favourite, RIP.

All the obits focused on his Oscar nominations and win but I remember him being excellent as Richard Feynman in a TV movie on the Challenger disaster. Best 'made for TV' I've ever seen. I hope BBC show it again in tribute.

He was a fine actor, always a good sign when he was in a film
