Lord of the Rings, obvs. But in general most fantasy stuff with lots of fighting, and Marvel Superhero movies, and anything involving lots of car chases cause me to nod off.

Star Wars! Even as a nipper it did nothing for me.

At the other end of the scale if you don't think The Godfather is the greatest film of all time than you're just plain wrong!

I'm really not being deliberately contradictory (on this occasion :wink), but I can't stand fantasy, superhero type movies, but thoroughly enjoyed all 3 LOTR

Donnie Darko.

Lots of people who I generally share taste/opinions on a variety of things like or love it… I think it’s a massive steaming pile of sh|t from start to finish.

Anything and everything with Hugh (smack my smug face) Grant in.

Except The Gentleman. Guy Ritchie managed to get him to act.

I'm t'other way round.

Good Marvel is very good indeed, Captain America, Deadpool, Black Panther, Spiderman.
(The whole 'Endgame - throw everything in the mix' leaves me cold)

But I really can't be doing with anything LOTR's.

Well my fantasy death is my neck snapped between the inner thighs of Black Widow.
Yours is burned alive by Benedict Cumberbatch.

Any romantic comedy that Richard Curtis has been involved with.

Four Weddings, Notting Hill, Love Actually and the various iterations of Bridget Jones immediately come to mind.

As someone with XY chromosomes who doesn't drink Prosecco, I appreciate that I am far from the target market here.

But I love the coming of age films of John Hughes, most of which contain schmaltzy scenes like the end of Sixteen Candles.

So perhaps it's the fact that Curtis is so essentially formulaic with the protagonist always having 'crazy' friends.

Or maybe it's the fact that few if any real life issues are picked up in the twee middle class bubbles.

But it's mostly because of Hugh Grant's awkward perma-stuttering in expressing his feelings.

"So I was wondering...um, right...I don't suppose...right, right...that there might be, perhaps, any chance, um, of it being anything else?"

Sorry, Hugh. It's definitely that.
