(our) Beadle is a (newly signed) goalkeeper. Not sure it would be great for any goalkeeper to be compared with THAT beadle, tbh!

You say that - our old work team had a goalkeeper with just two fingers on each hand. Needless to say, he was know as Flipper. Not bad keeper considering.

A bit like cutting off your nose to spite one's face. It's £2.99.... 1/2 a pint of beer... I know it's going to the scum but it's a few bob well spent to watch our youngsters.

I wonder how many of these lads will be playing against Crystal Palace’s (and vice versa) first team in years to come? I think I enjoy watching the U23s as much as the senior team.
