I thought he might be a credible antidote to Johnson before the next general election.

Unfortunately all I'm seeing now is a Sergeant Arthur Wilson, wringing his hands as Johnson spaffs, saying 'Do you think that's wise sir?'

Begone. With the rest of your shower.

Still the best of a bad lot.

IMHO, of course, as opposed to IYHO!

I absolutely agree with you!

Which means......???

Edit: and it's IMNVHO

get the whole f*****g lot out, and replace them with an interim, cross party group in touch with the people.

I’m a bit ‘jury out’ on him but I actually thought it was quite good that he gave a straight answer to a question on the Saville thing…

It was not Johnson bent, but it was hardly straight.

"In hindsight when Mr Manson brutally murdered those women, it isn't what I would have chosen to do" style of thing. FFS.

A cross party group in agreement about what? Labourites wanting a socialist revoluton, Lib Dems only wanting to pretend the referendum never happened, Tories wanting someone who isn't BJ but they don't know who, SNP wanting the break up of the UK with the pipe dream that the EU would welcome Scotland back in, the DUP - well f*** knows what they want .................. except it probably wouldn't end well for the pope.

Should be a good cohesive competant group; can't see any problems there ................

Gods country fortnightly
So overatted.

Inexperienced and has spent a massive amount of money (not his own I should add) and not done it particularly well

We need a clear out of the whole effing lot in the cabinet, if its touched Johnson its corrupted. Sunak will try and distance himself but you can't hide mate, you've been part of the engine

Foreign Secretary Liz Truss is the one for me, having boasted that the 'UK would supply 'our Baltic allies across the Black Sea'.

Outstanding !

A multi billionaire who recently decided to shift more of the tax burden onto the poorest - yeah sounds great

Sajid Javid is probably the best of the current bunch for me, resigned rather than have Cummings pick his advisors for him, seems to be his own man, not from a privileged background. Would also be nice to see a Brexit dividend for the racist element of a 2nd gen Pakistani remainer PM.

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
Tax break for the banks, no windfall tax on energy companies, raised NI after promises of EU money going to the NHS instead, broken the Triple lock on pensions, voted against free school meals for children.
I’d have more trust in a snake.

How on earth one of the architects of the 2008 banking crisis goes on to become chancellor is a mystery to me.

I'm not sure that when the vote of no confidence comes and the subsequent leadership election, the winner will come from the back benches as this current cabinet are all soiled by their allegiance to Johnson. Sunak has stepped away slightly but people do need to remember his history as an investment banker and to whom he has given the best tax breaks and to whom he is charging more!!

When someone who would literally vote for anything wearing a red rosette (eg Blair>Corbyn) starts a thread targeting one potential successor to Boris then you know that person is almost certainly the candidate the Tories should choose [emoji6]

Watched him on the Martin Lewis show, smirking like the others do, it must be hard not too when you're lying through your teeth.

You've got that wrong as HWT has often said what a disaster Corbyn was.
