With all these young players from all corners of the globe being signed for development, our squad in the next couple of seasons could be a little shy of homegrown lads. I know the premier league is a results based business but will we end up another Chelsea or Arsenal?

No we won't. The rules have changed following Brexit so now we cannot sign an overseas player before they turn 18. This means that unless they sign on the day they turn 18 they won't qualify as a home grown player so we will still need to bring through some British players or we'll be playing with a squad of 17 + U21s in a few seasons time. So there should be a steady stream of homegrown players still coming through, although the new rules make it very difficult for players like Robert Sanchez to qualify as an HGP in the future.
