I read an opposition fan on another forum wondering whether Brighton were looking to set the record for the most draws in a season. With this username I had to go and look up the current record. It's currently a three way tie between 1993/4 Man City, 1993/4 Sheffield United & 1994/5 Southampton. All of these were 18 over a 42 game season. 17 is the record for a 38 game season (Newcastle 2003/4, Villa 2006/7 & 2011/2 & Sunderland 2014/5). We're already on 11 with 17 more games to play. We have a chance at the crown! (Or drawing with it, which would seem more appropriate).

Joking aside, 7 of those draws have involved coming back from a deficit, 3 were 0-0 and only one involved losing a lead. The seven times that this squad refused to be beaten when going behind see us in the top ten. The spirit has been great. Saying that, the draw against Newcastle was the only time we took a lead and didn't go on to win the game, so it might be a good idea to start scoring first.
