I know we are a pessimistic lot and even the last few weeks, defeat for teams in the bottom 3 was seen as a good thing. But 17 points clear with between 8 and 12 points needed from 18 games to reach the usual survival target, can we now start hoping some teams win to get others down? I think Burnley and Newcastle are the two most want to go down so can we hope for Norwich to overturn Everton today? Or will that cause a run on Pampers?

I'm a long way from hoping we'd get a result against Norwich - so yeah why not let others pick 3 low hanging fruits from the points tree.

You’ve nailed it Dick. Time we started thinking like a club in 8th place chasing down Man Utd. I’ll be supporting ANY bottom 4 side (unless Palace find themselves there) over a team engaged in OUR battle for a top 10 place.

Averaging around 1.4 points a match is never going to cause any worries. That's top ten form - just.

I want Watford to win at Newcastle so badly today for another nail in their coffin.

Not bothered about bottom 3 whatsoever and how nice is it to say that mid January!! On to Chelsea for us and hoping we can end that hoodoo of not beating them but it's Chelsea and their multi billions!
