Fiveways
Sanchez 7 -- not much he could have done with either of the goals. Reassuring presence. Good distribution.
Veltman 7 -- typically reliable
Webster 7 -- solid, quick
Burn 9 -- best performance in the stripes, rewarded with a goal (good routine for that too)
Cucurella 8 -- consistently excellent. Enjoy him while he lasts
Mwepu 8 -- usual mixed bag, but two assists in there. Amazing work rate.
Lallana 7 -- good experienced play
Bissouma 9 -- bossed it, so quick over short distances
Ali Mac 9.5 MotM -- outstanding performance, one pre-assist from his high standard of set pieces, one great goal, the other one BOOM
Trossard 6 -- quiet one today, probably not 100%
Maupay 8 -- an assist, and a menace throughout

Lamptey 6
Duffy 7
Moder n.a

Pretty much wholeheartedly agree with the ratings, Ali Mac exceptional but all were good, even Trossard who wasn't at his best put in a shift in and presumably not 100% as you say following injury. Only change for me I'd give Maupay a 9, thought he was superb - great workrate and interplay.

Burn will take some shifting from that central defensive spot. McAllister, what’s not to like, a midfielder who scores. Bissouma was packing his suitcase second half, destination International stage #enjoy

Basically this but would give Sanchez a 7, dealth well with set pieces and made a few pretty good saves.

Would also lower Cucurella to 7 or 6, think he looked quite leggy and struggled a lot with Anthony Gordon.

Sanchez 7.5 - a really good save at a crucial time , claimed the ball well when needed against a team that likes to play high balls
Veltman 7 - would have kept him on and played lamptey up front
Cucurella - 7.5 not as good coming forward this came but a decent defender
Burn - 9 massive game for the big lad. Took his chance well but key was his defending. He was our best defender looking very assured
Bissouma - 7.5 great effort but could see he was tiring
Webster - 7.5 restrained - maybe still carrying a knock but good performance but no surging runs
Lallana - 7 Not his best game and a weak prod at the ball to give away the OG which keeper had covered. I think our form this season owes a lot to his presence though.
Mwepu - 6 .5 - some great work followed by some poor stuff needs to be more streetwise in defence
Trossard - 6.5 quieter game
MacAllister - 9 MOTM because of the goals and overall contribution - needed to do better for the first goal
Maupay - 7.5 a handful as always and unlucky with his shot. Great awareness for the first goal.

Duffy 7 -did well on coming on
Lamptey 6.5 - did not get into his running game and caught out a bit when defending

Sanchez - 6 - No blame for the goals and made a couple of decent saves.
Veltman - 7 - Good game from Mr Reliable
Cucurella - 8- What a signing! Ben's Grandad would be proud of him:)
Burn - 9- Wherever he is asked to play always gives everything. Was exposed last season when we had no left wing back apart from Solly, who was injured and BDB did ok but at CB he is really good
Webster - 7- Not at his best yet but it will come.
Lallana - 7 - An extra point for a shot on target!!!!! He can be neat and tidy but doesn't influence as much as I hoped.
Bissouma - 8 Usual performance top player.
Mwepu - 6.5 - If he learns as much as Bissouma did when he played his first season, he will be great. At the moment he is inconsistent.
Trossard - 6- Quiet by his recent standards but classy.
MacAllister - 9- He has really improved with a few starts. Great performance today MoM
Maupay - 8- Confidence is back and worked really hard today. And an assist!!

Duffy - 6- Did what Duffy does :)
Lamptey - 6- Not as effective today. Maybe we were under the cosh and there were too many hoofed clearance when he came on but no real threat.
Moder - Not on long enough to score.

You don’t really see it on TV, but Lallana’s influence on our play is enormous.

I'm not a great one for giving marks, but AliMac MOM, and it was won in the last 20 mins by some very tired legs out there. It's always easier to play good football in the first 60.

Good performance all round, considering the last few days
