That's very sad news. He'll be making them laugh in heaven telling them "what happened was...."

RIP Jethro

Hope he's not plagued by wasps up there.

My parents used to know him and stayed in one of cottages on holiday many times.

RIP Jethro

In a pile of football shirts
Absolutely gutted, saw him on his last tour, seemed a little on the wane, but put it down to his age and lengthy touring schedule. Still very funny, but not long after that he said he was dialling back his touring commitments.

Burgess Hill
My late dad's favourite comedian, and saw him live a few times myself (including in Burgess Hill). 'Old school' comedy but made me laugh, probably helped by coming from the Westcountry myself

Condolences to Denzil Penberthy. RIP Jethro.

About 4 years ago my father in law badgered me into going to see Jethro in Eastbourne. As it turns out he was brilliant. Not a gig for the snowflakes but I thought material was fine and above all the delivery and timing were spot on.
