Well he is occasionally personal about politicians with whom he disagrees e.g. 'hilariously' likening Caroline Lucas to a vampire - and he has form when it comes to being rude to other posters.....

So you think that vampires are a topic worthy of serious consideration?

It's a good thing it's all in one thread surely, then you can just choose to ignore the thread if you find it depressing?

If this thread was moved to the bear pit then we would end up having separate threads on:

- Tory MPs involved in partygate
- The Tory PM being charged as a criminal and lying to parliament
- Tory Chancellor's wife and the non-dom tax balls up
- Tory MPs being caught watching porn in parliament
- Tory MPs involved in sexual harassment cases
- Tory MP trying to defend another Tory MP who was convicted of sexually assaulting a child
- Tory government trying to implement the Rwanda immigration scheme
- Tory performance in local elections
- Tory MPs trying to remove BJ
- Tory MPs slagging off the Archbishop of Canterbury
- Nadine Dorries

And that's just in the last few weeks. Probably best we keep it all to one thread eh.

Don't forget the tory peer having her home and office raided by the fraud squad in relation to PPE

Not so much a precedent as a model. I suspect the next cabinet, assuming not led by Truss, will be more traditional conservative. He doesn't give a fukk about protocol but most I believe do.

Possibly.

There’s a few on here that have failed in their desperate attempts to bury this thread in the pit. They don’t like being reminded of the mob of gangsters they voted in on a lie.

They are thirsty to be part of the thread but know that their posts will get them banned on the main board.

They want it dragged to the pit where they can shout and swear over reason with relative impunity.

Pitiful really.

Back on track;

I see ex-pats in Spain can no longer drive down to the Black Lion for their Sunday roast on their British license. Got to take the Spanish driving test as of tomorrow after Brexit negotiations collapsed. There’s gonna be a lot pf 70+ wrinklies who don’t have a hope in Hell of passing any kind of driving test. Oops!
Hopefully another nail in the Tory coffin?

Nice one.

In your first example maybe, in the second example, you will have to point it out because that isn't my style to make it personal to the poster, and by god there are some poster on here who have done nothing but insult me, you would think I was running the country at times.

Actually, I am sure I recall many an insult from yourself.

Thank you for the contribution.... my response style was not being debated, yours was - and for what it's worth you made an unprovoked personal attack on me to which I retaliated and now seemingly you cannot recall it. I won't remind you; you'll have to reflect a little more....

I am sure no one ever thinks you are running the country at any time; that's probably a very good thing. No offence intended in that comment.

'Maybe' is a bit of a weak acknowledgement..... it was a rude and unnecessary slight, especially as Caroline Lucas speaks so highly of you......

NSC is now a depressing place because of the politics. This thread should have been put in The Bear Pit months ago. I think it only remains here so people can be nasty.

Yet you open this thread to post that. You can ignore political threads quite easily, and yet you don't.

Jess Phillips can be pointed out for many reasons, perhaps her spiteful hatred for many has divided the country to where we are today.
For this thread to still be on the mainboard and not in the pit, shows the unbalanced moderating IMO.

I will leave you lot to waste another thousand posts on general tory bashing and all agreeing with one another.

Hang about!

Isn't the board owner a self confessed Tory supporting over 50k per annum earner?

Perhaps he's just lost the dressing room when it comes to the moderators then?

I'd suggest this thread is still on the main board because the morally bankrupt Tory party are giving it plenty of material, almost on a daily basis.

Politically divisive you say?

'I will leave you lot to waste another thousand posts on general tory bashing and all agreeing with one another.'

Now I wonder who wrote that?

I have never seen a more systemically corrupt government hold office and be so blatant about its lies and double standards. Sadly, too many people have now got to the stage where they are as corrupted as the government they profess to support.

Johnson won the leadership of the Tory party and then systematically purged any dissenting or alternative Tory MP's then promoted his supporters to positions way above their abilities, there is no alternative to Johnson on the front benches and those in ministerial positions are reliant on Johnson to keep them in a job. When eventually the time comes there will be a biblical cull of the Cabinet, those that have lied to protect Johnson despite knowing they are perjuring themselves will have to go. Many so called Tory supporters really need to take a long hard look at themselves and the PM, the party and the lies they have allowed to go unchallenged and be ashamed.

The alternative take:

This is just the rough and tumble of politics.

Six of one and half a dozen of the other.

At the end of the day it's all about the pound in your pocket.

Johnson is doing a tremendous job under the circumstances.

We are already seeing great benefits from Brexit.

Captain Hindsight is a follower, not a leader.

And under Corbyn, we'd all be singing the red flag.

Proof of outright lying on Twitter from two Conservative MPs.

Nadine Dorries and Michael Fabricant are both quoting the Daily Mail article, showing Keir Starmer having a curry, but have cut out the man on his left. That is because the Guardian photo is from 2015, in Euston, and the gentleman on his left is the late Frank Dobson, who died in 2019.
The 'delivery driver' cannot be contacted, strangely.
