Why can't it just be good old fashioned bad luck? no need to look for conspiracy theories on this one l don't think.

It really is terrible bad luck for the kid.

Was a really strange incident, to have caused something so major though - he wasn't even running at the time, to ping his hammy - just making a simple upright challenge. Curious.

Obvious his hamstring had gone at the time but agree with hkfc it was in a strange manner.

I really rate this lad and am absolutely gutted for him. Hopefully he will be able to play some football late in the season for the U23s?

Gutted for Jeremy. Had been really excited about his prospects after he came on in the Carabao cup. Was thrilled to see him get a Premier League start and then…

Poor guy.

Indeed, maybe he is a distant cousin of Buckers, who knows?

Here's to a quick recovery, at least he has time on his side.

Poor guy, looked really miserable when he went off - probably knew it was serious.

If the team is in a good spot when he comes back I'm sure GP will be fairly quick to give him some minutes to encourage him after the injury.

Reading the reports they state it’s a grade 2 tear, so timescale doesn’t sound unreasonable - 4-8 weeks with no activity and another 8 to get it back to full strength (and we’ll be cautious as always). No conspiracy, these things happen (still gutted for the lad).

yep - gutted for him. Same here - thought he had great appearance in Carabao, and 1 driving run when he came on against Leeds. Was really looking forward to watching him start at WH. Real Shame. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

The one positive is that we've got other players who have gone through long, frustrating recoveries and come back stronger than ever.

Hopefully the club nurturing our players like we do grows their bonds with the club, and each other.

And supporters that bleat and moan when they're taken off on 65mins or don't start...

It’s possible, but that’s not what is being said by the people that have assessed him - who quite possibly know more about his exact injury, physiology, recovery times etc than you do.

Our famous experts who say players will be out 2-3 weeks and miss 6 months? Lamptey was initially thought to be out 4-5 months and missed 11 months.

10 months is very much a worst case scenario. Sarmiento is still young, he'll heal quicker than most.

Yes it was and then for Webbo to damage his calf quickly afterwards. Did we warm up properly? (To be fair not normally an issue)
