I’m expecting us to go back to the 5 across the back and agree Lamptey looked great yesterday just can’t see him starting midweek with way club are clearly managing his minutes

Same as saturday but with Lallana instead of Gross. Maybe Duffy instead of Veltman purely to deal with defending freekicks and corners.

Maybe. But two at the back with a kid in goal for the first time, is a bit risky if Antonio starts.

It was a back 4 as you say. Quite clever in that Cucu was often as high up as Lamptey even though the former was LB and the later was probably a right winger. You can do this if Biss has your back on the left.

No need to tire out Lamptey, give him the last 10 mins if the game is tight and run at knackered defenders on that side. Alexis Mac deserves to play and not with another player or two standing on his toes in the same positions he wants to take up. We should make the pitch bigger than the narrow pitch we currently play on, bar the wing backs.
