"They are a teat that's flexible in the way that they line up and they play players in different positions, they do this very naturally and efficiently."

You'd hope that teat is some kind of typo, but it doesn't change the fact that Bielsa joined Leeds in June 2018.

Today, whenever he does an interview, he still uses an interpreter.

If he leaves at the end of the season, he will have spent 4 years in a high profile football manager role, not having learned to speak the native language....

I'm not even sure he is Marcelo Bielsa. I reckon he's actually Barry from EastEnders and the reason he doesn't talk is because he doesn't want to give the game away.

It's been mentioned a lot that he can speak English, and does to his players. He only uses the translator for media duties (I don't know if this is confidence, a desire to avoid miscommunications, maybe he swears like a sailor and needs a buffer to stop him fouling the airwaves).

Is that why he never looks anyone in the eye - too busy looking at their teats?

Oh, and as it isn't taken yet - has he confused us with 'Uddersfield?

That kind of criticism usually comes from people that have never mastered a foreign language. Doing so, especially at his age, is no mean feat. Especially being expected to speak to the world's media.

He can speak English, but doesn't to the press. The same reasons why Poch did not at Southampton I guess.

You can't move on the Leeds message boards for posts saying " yes he's got us to the premier League playing attractive football but he doesn't feel comfortable doing press conferences in English, bring back Neil Redfearn or Kevin Blackwell"

It that claim based on any actual evidence? Have you met everyone who makes that kind of criticism?

It didn't stop 70 year old Ranieri. When he first came to England, he couldn't speak English, or at least had an interpreter for interviews.

Today, he is confident talking to the media. It's part of the job.

Ye. Probably some anxiety thing, I think he likes to be a perfectionist so doesnt want to be caught with non-perfect English.

Quite likely the man has some sort of diagnosis.

It's not though is it? Why does it matter if Bielsa says it or his translator?
