Reading an article the other day suggesting Britbox is due to be pulled due to 'lack of demand and retention of subsribers'. Not really surprising as much of what is on there can be found elsewhere.

I have been having a nostalgia phase recently, watching BritBox over and above everything else, although agree that about 80% of what’s on there is available elsewhere.

Yes Minister/Yes Prime Minister
Joan Hickson as the definitive Miss Marple (not available anywhere else)
Jeremy Brett as the definitive Sherlock Holmes
The Young Ones
Minder
Endeavour and Morse are both on there

Raised by Wolves (as modern as I’ve got on there, but very funny)
The Adam and Joe show

It is 90% a trip down memory lane, so would be of niche interest to the youngsters, but at the moment I’m done with the US style slickly produced stuff, and enjoying the kind of nonsense that was thought up in the back of a pub by a couple of pissed blokes.

We like Britbox and watch a lot of it. We're slowly making our way through Spooks, and we especially like the ITV shows on there, as they cut the adverts out, so Endeavour etc are especially enjoyed. My teenage son likes old Doctor Who. Would be very sad to see it go, if that's what happens.

Probably working!
Does BritBox have all UK BBC, ITV & C4 series?
If so, I recommend:

Sherlock
Strike
Wire in the Blood
Outcasts

If it also has all Film4 films:
Gangster number 1
Sexy Beast
Croupier
Shallow Grave

I’m sure there are plenty more films and series that I can’t remember too.

Really enjoyed this 6-parter more that I thought I would, some decent performances and typical Welsh fayre.

For me, Jamie Sives steals the show as an obnoxious, loose-cannon-cop.
