What do you dispute in what he says?

He is far right, he became a Conservative Party member, and a councillor.
He has achieved his stated aim, to a certain extent.
The big question is, how many more, and how high in the Conservative party have they risen?

I don’t dispute anything he says. I don’t believe it either. I think you have to be predisposed to want to dispute or believe him in order to do either of those things.

Is there no vetting for councillors by the party?

I think that they would be kicking them out in droves if they were actually vetted, don't forget, some Tory MP's have actually reTweeted comments by the well known Tommy Robinson !
