Yes, good read. I'm pleased to see that one of the photos in the article is one of my all-time favourite sports photographs. It's of Connor celebrating after he'd scored against Liverpool in the FA Cup.

My Dad started taking me to football when he was playing for us, he was my favourite player
When Steve McQueen met The Blob, he tried to kill it. It probably never crossed his mind to try and take it out to a restaurant.

He once did some charity thing at The Brittania Pub in Littlehampton and stopped me in the street to ask me where it was.
He ended up giving me a lift to the pub and we had a great chat etc.
Top player and top bloke who always gave 100%

Seem to remember when he was at the Withdean as Mick McCarthy’s 2 I/c. As he walked to the dugout he got a big round of applause and seemed to be genuinely surprised and moved by it. McCarthy was also pleased and gave Terry a pat on the back.

A great player and we were lucky to have him.

He was my first Albion hero. Looked like a short Otis Redding and still the best attacking header of the ball. He was before Chivers and Robinson. We had a mighty strike force in my first season as an Albion obsessive - Conner, Saunders, Fashanu, Biley and Ferguson. Being supplied by Wilson, Penney and Mortimer. Then a year later Dickie Tiltman was our target man. Should have seen the writing on the wall.

I am not sure why we keep banging on about someone's colour, but if you are segregating footballers by colour, Mike Small was head and shoulder above Connor IMO.
      Reality had hit hard

      NSC needed levelling up.

The task was huge, but someone had to do it.

WE are not doing anything. The club are publishing an article during Black History Month about one of our early black players and the issues he suffered.
