Shame they’re useless when it comes to actual war

All great nations and civilisations have their time. We are certainly no better than the French when it comes to war these days.

The time when one third of the World was coloured Pink on a globe are long gone. Our army and navy are a pitiful fraction of what they once were. For all Johnsons's tub thumping we really aren't a World Power.

No,just ask the Algerians

Half of Africa for that matter

France just wouldn’t give up its colonies. In Algeria up until the 60’s the French military were carrying out the systematic torture, rape and murder of opponents, chucking adversaries out of death flights. For decades denied, now reluctantly admitted, because the victims were only “savages”. Some shocking 20th century photos of the victims with their gleeful French captors.

Indeed

Paris 1961

Absolutely shameful

French police literally throwing Algerians into the Seine

The BBC tonight linked this to the coming French presidential election - a move to turn the blow of the loss of the contract into a tough guy positive.

The left wing BBC? ???

Wokey cokey, the licence fee is a stealth tax on a hard working benefits claimant.

Quite. Das reich listens to it all day and still feels he isn't getting value for money. Still, now we are free from the yolk of the EU, anything is possible. Privatisation. GB news can buy it!

Here is their schedule for tonight:

Did you see Andrew Neil on BBC QT this week? I still like and rate him highly.

He basically intimated that he quit the TV station because it had lurched far further to the right than the project (positive TV news, a fresh approach) he’d been promised.

No fool, effectively he bailed out after a few days.

That was a sloppy sixths scenario, yuk - other clients at that time included Trelford, Khashoggi, MP’s and you’ll remember the little posh wnkr Colin Moynihan …. a Sports Minister who was anti football because he was a ‘wet bob’ educated at Monmouth.

Tough call this week.
Which Frenchie to laugh at the most….. Macron or Barnier?
Two outstanding candidates……….but should Barny be laughed at for simply coming to his senses on immigration?

And what you and many others dont understand if eg your government didnt spend £40b on military they could spend it elsewhere and create work in others sectors (perhaps on things people actually need).

This 40,000,000,000 times over (is that enough zeroes?)

Great days.

Nothing here changes much, does it?

Anyway, mustn't knock a single, midddle aged man getting a bit of action. In a baseball cap.

Infantile defence spending advice from a self confessed conspiracy theorist and someone who builds a fort out of pizza boxes in his living room.
Top banana.
