A bit more of this (from either side of the pond) wouldn't have gone amiss

I'm on a vaccine trial and therefore about as pro-vaccine as they come, but still feel uneasy about this.
Can someone convince me otherwise?

Treat it much the same as I did with the B word.

Look at who's for.
Look at who's against.

Sense who you want to be more associated with.

Or as it happened with the B word:-

Realise who you never ever want to be associated with, even if your life depended on it!!

I’ve never felt the need to be associated with any group on whatever side

Well I won't show you a picture of someone dead from Covid.

However how about another condition effectively irradicated by vaccination, but creeping back due people not vaccinating their kids. Catarcats and blindness caused by Rubella.

A minor innconvenience and very low risk of adverse effects in order to prevent other people dying? And the right to just so no surpasses that? I don't think so.

I hope that helps

Yes, and he's not the only current world-leader with that inherent weakness!

But urging is so much more effective when prefaced by the words 'jolly well'.

Is there a strong correlation between anti-vaxers and Trump supporters? My suspicion is that there would be.

Yes.

Well there's a strong correlation between the Republican right and anti-vaxxers.

So you could just as easily asked:-

Is there a strong correlation between anti-vaxers and Fox news viewers.
Is there a strong correlation between anti-vaxers and Southern States.
Is there a strong correlation between anti-vaxers and Pigheaded 'don't mess with Texas' types.
Is there a strong correlation between anti-vaxers and the NRA.

They also happen to be Trump types.

"The mind of my hive says a, the mind of the other hive says b, so I go with a" is not the obvious go-to solution for everyone.

There is and Fox News peddling all the Anti Vaxination nonsense

The White House should just announce that Vaccinations will now only be given to Left Wing Socialists, BLM Supporters, Hispanic Immigrants and Islamists and then state that White Nationals, Anti Abortionists and Trump Supporters cant have the Vaccine. If you do that then within 20 Minutes Fox News will be on air demanding that everyone should demand to be vaccinated and all those currently refusing to get it would we queuing up round the block to be vaccinated

Seems entirely consistent with our own nasty Right Wing parties (non) thinking. It's almost like there was No Such Thing As Society
