Science has yet to invent a violin small enough for me to play for Tim Martin and any idiot who drinks in Wetherspoons

I was expecting to read he’d now caught Covid.

It’s like these people thought that somehow by supporting Brexit they’d be immune from it’s harm.

Is anyone actually worried about this?

Not about Wetherspoons being unable to enable the 10am drinkers club but worried that the U.K. is heading into a long period of consumer shortages? Yes. Anyone who isn’t hasn’t understood the situation. IMO

I can understand why not-flush-for-cash teens/young folk drink in them eg the branch in West Street. My son and his mates do. Elsewhere in ‘hip’ pubs and bars in Brighton and London these days it’s easy to be charged £5.50 to £7 a pint.

A far cry from the 90p a pint when I started in 1981 (£3.50 in real terms).

Personally I can’t stand Wetherspoons.

1.20 a pint of Lowenbrau in the Red Cross in Reigate when I started out. Could get staircased for a tenner and get a bab on the way home. Last pint I had in a boozer cost me 6.80

It’s not all down to Brexit but anyone who thinks 24,000 less delivery drivers in the U.K. is helping, is just being silly.
