There are some good names on that list. I don't know how fit any of those old boys are, or of they could stil play PL football. In a world where recenty retired footballers took the view, 'I'm not playing any football now, and I'd like to play a bit more before finally retiring, so yes, I'll happily sign for a season for a modest wage, probably mostly to come on as an impact sub for 15-20 minutes' one of them might be welcome.

In reality though, they (or their agaents) will take the view that if they were getting £100K-£150K-£200K or whatever a week at Real/Barca/PSG that's the amount they will need to get out of bed now, and to which they think theyre still entitled, even though they're not as fit and fast as they were. In which case, no thanks - stay unemployed (you won't starve)

We were interested in Lucas Perez a few years ago, and we do like to pursue previous targets.

Lol.

I don't think we will actually be signing a free agent striker, though.
