[Music] Does this man have a point, or is it more a case of Nevermind?

When a photography of someone naked is immediatly percieved as "pornography", its a strong indication of a sick society. Its the current oversexualisation and the return of contemporary fundamentalist Victorianism in some kind of unholy union.

Attention seeking prat.

... or money. Either which way, **** him.

Money grabber.
Even the former drummer who had left the group prior to this album is included in the lawsuit.

Yeah I saw that. I'm trying to keep an open mind but I'm currently of the view that he's just looking for a payday. As well as claiming he was sexually exploited he says his life has been 'ruined' by being the Nevermind baby. Maybe it has, but he hasn't helped himself by constantly drawing attention to the fact that he WAS the Nevermind baby. He's staged several reshoots of the photo to celebrate various anniversaries, and I get the feeling that when he introduces himself he says "Hi! I'm Spencer Elden, I was the baby on the Nevermind album cover. Too young and never heard of it? Hang on, I've got a photo on my phone ..."

As I say that's my view currently on first impression without knowing all the facts. It may change.

I'm tempted to say it's money grabbing. As Brovion has said he has recreated that photo several times for official Nevermind anniversaries so why has he now suddenly decided that it's not only ruined his life but child pornography?

Surely if anybody is to be sued it should be the parents that gave their consent for their baby's picture to be used?

Oh, wait a minute - silly me! They haven't got as much money to be sued for as ex Nirvana members .......................

This. He also has Nevermind tattooed on his chest apparently. Seems to want to blame all his ills on something and this is that something.

If true, he's going to struggle to be taken seriously.

I've also just realised that it's the 30th anniversary of Nevermind's release this year. Wikipedia tells me it was released on September 24th. If I was more cynical I'd be putting two and two together there.

I was just thinking exactly the same.

I haven't had a chance to read a story on it so they may be included but assume that they aren't. Weird that he has staged anniversary shoots for it, even more odd that it has 'ruined his life' when no one would recognise him from that

what a tit. A quick image search of his name shows he has recreated that image several times - I assume for money and fame and has a Nevermind tattoo across his chest.

I am sure if he had let it go no one would be any the wiser. one baby looks very much like another and no one would ever know.

also - isn't it a derisory sum of money for year of torment? Shirley he should be looking for millions in damages if it was 'real'?

Actually if it is child porn then a lot of people should be going to prison - the artist, the band, their manager, his parents, the company that made and distributed it, the shops that sold it, the people that bought it..............

its a disgrace - booo

30 f***ing years. I remember strolling in to Ourprice on that day and asking for it. They only had one copy! That was standard for indie bands at the time in OP, just get the one in, reorder when sold. Think they probably got a few more in a month or so later.

That's a very good point. I bought a copy of Nevermind. If it's decided that it is indeed child pornography then I ..... No I daren't say it in case the bots that scan the internet for that sort of thing get NSC shut down as a paedophile networking site.

We're decent people I tell you!

Apologies fella, was only highlighting a popular music based news item.

:lolol:

I was hoping someone would post the obvious reply (i.e., 'bit harsh on the OP'); perhaps the great comedians of NSC are on annual leave ???
