[Technology] Mobile Phone Security Updates

It is pretty much impossible to guess what future vulnerabilities will be discovered, or how effective the security updates would be, but in general I would say they are a very good thing.

This has become a differentiator for Apple. Google are going to be using their own chipsets in their next generation of phones, which will allow them to also provide extended support and manage battery life better. I am not sure where Samsung are with this right now.
