If this season follows last season, the earliest we could be in the bottom 3 is 30th October! Took until the 10th game last season for the team 3rd from bottom to get to 6 points.

Warren kept mentioning some stat relating to twelve points last week. something like 90% of teams with 12pts from 10 games have avoided relegation.

The BBC posted an article talking about the importance of a good start for both ends of the table. The stat was that after 10 games the table seems to settle and is quite indicative of the final standings. Momentum can be vital in picking up points as the winter sets in

Not sure if it counts as a stat but Burnley lined up with players numbered 1-11 yesterday, which was the first time in the PL since Charlton (?) did it in 98/99.

Yeah, nice as it is to see us in the Champions' League places it means NOTHING with regard to the final positions. We've had two 'winnable' fixtures and, fair play, we have won them both. But if us and Norwich had swapped schedules and we'd played Liverpool and Man City we could be the ones at the bottom with zero points.

The only table worth looking at ATM is Giraffe's 'Tracker'
