The only way any Albion fan would want this to happen is if Biss was off and his loan was part of the Nunez deal. We don't need a left footed defensive midfielder to play at left back. We need a proper left back.

He's a DM, so I can only see us being interested if we sell Bissouma.

If we are trying to trim the squad to accommodate and afford new signings surely IF we were to sell Bissouma there would be no sense in signing another central midfielder, especially a DM seeing as Mwepu and Moder can play there, and so can Groß and Alzate if need.

This is a very strange transfer window.

I could be wrong, but neither Mwepu or Moder look like a dedicated DM.

By playing 4 at the back we can now play both Moder and Mwepu and a DM.

If we choose to play two speedy full backs in Cucurella and Lamptey, we would definatley need that dedicated DM cover.

Totally this. Most of us would of had a shopping list of : Striker, left back, back up goalkeeper, possible right back, possible winger, possible new centre half to replace both Ben White and an expectant move for Duffy. I don't think anyone lister another Midfielder (Mwepu) as their priority. Still we have to wait and see. :mad:

It's quite obvious that we are desperately short in Midfield for Potters new formation of 2-7-1

I was under the impression that Moder and Mwepu had both played a reasonable amount of football as defensive midfielders though I might be wrong. I don’t think Bissouma came to us a DM either, it’s a position he’s grown into. I agree we’ll need a no nonsense DM if we’re playing a back 4 with advancing full backs, but as things stand we don’t have the personnel for that.
