still think it's wrong that the window closes on the 31st August it should really close the day before the first game of the season and then allow clubs to loan players up till the 31st August

The premier league tried it, but were left out on a limb as no other league followed suit. The leagues do need to be aligned really

Go back in time and the transfer window opened on the 1st July and carried on right up until about the third week in March!!!

I wondered why it had gone back. Agree OP, it should close before season, but if other leagues didn’t follow suit we had little option.

They should hire Olympia for a weekend all agents have stalls with their players sat on the stalls. Club management then turn up going round the stalls looking for the players to buy.
When the last few players are left bogof and discount kicks in.
Job done.

Makes sense although I’d want to check the ceiling clearance space of the venue based, see Locadia and heading ability.
