Watching all the outbounds (both senior and junior players) gathering apace, time once again to start the annual thread to track the loanees' progress for the 2021-22 season.

Confirmed loans so far:

Matt Clarke to West Bromwich Albion (Championship)
Alex Cochrane to Hearts of Midlothian (Scottish Premiership)
Teddy Jenks to Aberdeen (Scottish Premiership)
Ryan Longman to Hull City (Championship)
Jensen Weir to Cambridge United (League One)

Let's see if the club can beat last season's total of well over 20 loans out.

A few possible further candidates? - McGill, Rushworth, Baluta, Khadra, Richards, Roberts, van Hecke, Molumby, Connolly

Championship today - no Matt Clarke for WBA (injured). Longman not even on the bench for Hull either - any news?

No sign of Jensen Weir even on the bench at Cambridge. At least Rushworth is starting in goal for Walsall. And I know he's not ours any more, but Cashman is on the bench for Rochdale.

Cochrane seems to be a regular for Hearts now - starting today. Aberdeen not too keen on playing Jenks up to now.

Jenks starting today.

Re: Weir, apparently a slight knee problem so didn't train this week. Should be back in training on Monday and available to face Swindon Town on Tuesday.

Teddy Jenks finally gets to start in a comppetitive match and scores the equaliser for Aberdeen at Livingstone - from outside the box too. Back to us for next season - we could do with a few like that!

Edit: ... and I know he's not ours any more, but Gyokeres starting for Coventry.

Blimey - what a throw-back to the 80s! Plastic pitch that looked like QPR's old one, third division football mostly up in the air, and a pitch invasion when the Livy keeper dropped the ball for the winner!
Link was OK (only found it with 20 minutes left). It might take Jenks a few games to get used to this type of football, though maybe it was only as poor as that because of the pitch. The fans - at least the ones on the fans forum - seem to have taken a dislike to him though, and written him off after a few minutes as a late sub (this was his first start).

.... and in other news, our former youngster Gyokeres has equalised for Coventry against CH's Forest.

So, just how many goalscorers are we going to let go/loan out this summer!

“ Rushworth is some player. He’s going to be way above our level.”

“ Interesting tonight to see Rushworth given another start when quite often in these cups they rotate the keepers. He does look like a fantastic prospect, hopefully about to get us through pelanties.”

“ Rushworth, I’m genuinely concerned they’ll recall him before the window :joy: he looked superb tonight. A few good saves and a few pen saves.”

Walsall fans very impressed with Rushworth despite losing to Doncaster on penalties today

That's good to hear. Mind you, Forest Green were the same about Sanchez - until it went wrong (basically thinking he could get to balls he had no hope of reaching). Took Sanchez a season at Rochdale to sort that one out. Still, however you look at it, it's a good start for young Rushworth.

Here's hoping young Jenks can similarly win over the Aberdeen morons, who think he must be useless because he comes from Brighton and therefore must be a poof, and proved beyond all doubt because he wears an ear-ring! Cambridge also seem to think they've been landed with Weir because we don't want him - it's tough being a loanee sometimes!

Jensen Weir, on a season-long loan at Cambridge Utd, made his debut last night vs. Swindon in the Carabao Cup 1st round.

Comments on Cambridge Utd forum this morning:

- I thought Jensen Weir looked very tidy on the ball, broke up play and I think he could come in ahead of O'Neil on Saturday. He gives us the defensive cover, he's more dynamic than O'Neil and can open up play with his vision.

- Weir & May did themselves no harm and definitely should be at least making the bench in the league.

Bodes well. I'm going to Cambridge Utd vs Burton Albion a week Saturday, so I'll report back on his progress, assuming he plays.
