Captain Stokes wins the toss and England have inserted.

There are 20,000 fans today, many of whom are wearing blue in memory of the late, great Bob Willis, who died of prostate cancer in December 2019.

England and Pakistan teams are unchanged.

England: 1 Phil Salt, 2 Dawid Malan, 3 Zak Crawley, 4 James Vince, 5 Ben Stokes (capt), 6 John Simpson (wk), 7 Lewis Gregory, 8 Craig Overton, 9 Brydon Carse, 10 Saqib Mahmood, 11 Matt Parkinson

Pakistan: 1 Fakhar Zaman, 2 Imam-ul-Haq, 3 Babar Azam (capt), 4 Mohammad Rizwan (wk), 5 Saud Shakeel, 6 Sohaib Maqsood, 7 Shadab Khan, 8 Faheem Ashraf, 9 Hasan Ali, 10 Shaheen Shah Afridi, 11 Haris Rauf

England are 2-0 up with the series in the bag, but there are vital World Cup Super League points to play for, and great opportunities for young/inexperienced players to put their names into the hat for the future.

It would be good for the entertainment value and the England batsmen if Pakistan made a decent fist of setting a proper target here.

Pakistan have been utter gash so far, so I'm not holding out much hope of this.

Poor umpire decision looked plumb was plumb. Stokes from behind couldn't have the best view

Pakistan 21/1

Excellent slip catch from Crawley. Good to see the back of the dangerous Fakhar

Pakistan's RR at Edgbaston is currently 3.51 (61/1 off 17.2)

Sussex rattling along not far behind at 3.28 against Kent :) (75/0 off 23)

England to knock them off in 30 overs at this rate?

Steady progress 71-1 (18.3 overs)

50 partnership at RR3.61 for Imam-ul-Haq 37* and Babar Azam 24*

Wickets in hand give Pakistan the chance to press on to a decent total on what looks like a belter.

Matt Parkinson into the attack... and strikes immediately... bowls Imam-ul-Haz with a SNORTER!

113-2 (25.5, RR4.37)

Cricinfo liked that one!

Parkinson to Imam-ul-Haq, OUT
Snorter! That's an angular ripper from Parkinson, bending like a ray of light off a mirror as it fades to off to open the batter up, then bites the deck to rip back through the gate from a foot outside off!

Imam-ul-Haq b Parkinson 56 (73b 7x4 0x6) SR: 76.71

Looking forward to seeing England's response to this. Looks like a good pitch to bat on.

Earlier this summer, for England, was the first time I'd seen James Bracey keep wicket. I couldn't believe that they'd selected somebody with what looked like such shockingly poor technique, but assumed I was reading it wrong.

In the Hampshire innings concluded today, he's conceded FOURTY EIGHT byes

259-2 with 7 to go... 10 from the last Parkinson over and now 11 from Overton.

Rizwan and Babar Azam piling it on.... 150* at RR8.44

This is heading for a decent target :)

and 13 more off Overton.

57 at RR11.40 from the last 5. This is getting slightly out of hand

Had 3 £5 free bets hanging over from the Euros. I've pumped them on England @ 4.5
