Knows how to manage at international level. Knows how to tournament manage. As Neville said before this - maybe we have the perfect tourno manager. Credit where it’s due. Huge bollocks to not now to public demand on certain things - def more than the yes man some unfairly called him. Semi and final - huge respect.

I should like to place on record that he has probably done enough to save his job

Hard to argue right now.

He’s done an incredible job, a semi final followed by a final. And maybe more. With 60,000 England fans roaring us on we have a chance against anyone.

In fairness to the great English public, we didn’t know if he was going to be another McLaren.

He’s done his talking on the pitch, we play good football and we now win a load of games in the big tournaments.

He’s made the decisions and coached the players how to see out games, not one player put a foot wrong in that last 15. Also a big call to haul Grealish off for the good of the team.

What he and his team are creating within this squad is a work of genius. It’s so far reaching it goes well beyond the results of the team.

So, on a forum where it seems most people think that knighthoods, MBE etc is outdated and should be abolished suddenly think it is ok to knight a football manager who has won a semi final in a half baked tournament with home advantage and did not even score a goal (OG and a penalty that should have been ruled out)
It is not as if we have just won the World Cup in South America is it.
Totally over the top and time to get a grip, at least until the end of the final.
Maybe we should knight the English winner of the world Ker Plunk cup.

God I hope not. Credit to the team and the FA setup as a whole, wouldn't like to see him receive a personal accolade for benefiting from the successful framework which has been created at the FA.
