Seeing if this works as well as it did for the Swede.

Predictions: Spain 3 -1 and Italy 1-1 AET, win on pens

Come on Italy. I need them to play England in the final. I had a tenner each way on Italy at 11/1. So if England lose I have my insurance pay out.

My mother was a wop (as us 5 children affectionately called her ) so it’s Azzuri for me tonight.

Xhaka suspension might be huge for Switzerland. He was immense against France.

Sod your bet, think we have a better chance of beating the Belgian buns in the final . . . all providing we get there of course.

I had a smacked bottom for using that word.

As we don't have a player in the Italian squad, I'm struggling to join you.

My old History teacher, Mr. Waters at Stringer always called the Japanese "the Japs". He explained this wasn't a racist thing, just verbal shorthand. Bit strange. Good guy, though. Loved Blackadder.

Do you keep a sub back in order to bring Big Bob Sanchez on for the penalties?

Yellow. Never a red, first time in ages I've seen a player actually tackle sideways rather than treading/ stamping.

Traditional football doesn't pay obvioulsy, at least not as well as SPanish banks do to referees.
