with that being a done deal surely we should go for dan James as he will fall further down packing order and potter knows him well, would suit our play and potter will get the best out of him

That’s another one we’ve missed out on.

You’re the chairman Tony, sort it out.

Love this paragraph from the BBC article:

"The United boss has identified four key areas he wants to improve: right side of his midfield, then the central defensive, midfield and attacking areas".

Is that all? At this rate that'll cost another £219million.

Nice thought but:

- We wouldn't pay his asking price
- We can't afford his wages
- Bigger teams than us would want him
- Man Utd will still want to keep him

He might go out on loan, but even then that's not how we operate at the moment, and even if we did, he would go to a bigger club than us.

Economy aside (which, as you say, would be the main issue here) I dont think he would join any other club if he had the chance to re-unite with Potter.

Seeing as they paid £80m for Maguire, Man United will feel like they've got a bargain.

Nothing apart from perhaps love would make me happier than signing or loaning Dan James.

Depends if he is happy to be a bench warmer on big wages, I suggest that is exactly what he’ll choose

TBH I think Dan James lacks final end product, though he is rapid and would be fun to watched sprinting down the wing.

We need someone who can reliably make the correct decisions and feed our attackers.

A mate of mine's aunt runs a chip shop in Bryntirion, and she used to serve a lad who went to school with him and he says he's shitehouse.

Is Dan James really a player we need?

Firstly tbh I’ve not seen him at his best when I’ve seen him play for Man Utd. Was fairly average for Wales.

But who would he replace in our team? Maybe competition for Tross I could see that. But GP seems to like what I dub the WM formation. Our first choice last season seemed to be Tross - Maupay - Welbeck. This is without even taking into account if we would pay his wages etc.

This could have a domino effect for other transfers.

Hopefully we start to bring in our half dozen signings soon as our selling picks up pace.

We’ve already sold Davy and set Izzy free.
We need to continue to move players on and free up the salary budget for some goal scorers.

These fellas must surely be looking at pastures new?

Surely we can scrape up at least around £30m for that lot.

I’d keep Tau and Andone around though for one more season.
