After suffering their first defeat of the competition against Gloucestershire on Friday night, the Sharks go into the match against the South Londoners in fourth place in the South Group.

Luke Wright’s men have nine points from seven matches, one fewer than Surrey (eight matches) and three behind Kent Spitfires (eight) and leaders Gloucestershire (nine).

There is one change to the Sharks squad for Sunday’s match, with Chris Jordan returning from international duty and replacing George Garton who joins up with the England squad for their ODI series against Sri Lanka.

They come off ONE BALL short of a result. One fvcking ball.

At 4.5 overs. With Sussex in a winning position if it reaches 5 overs.

Yes it’s raining, and people were getting hit, but all you have to do is chuck ONE BLOODY ball down, and the game has a result. Now we’re looking at NR unless the rain clears.

It is cheating , they played at least one more ball after Luke got hit , if it was about the two hits to Salt and Wright they would have stopped right away not continue until 4.5 overs . Cheating gits .

That's pretty much what I thought. If they had stopped immediately for safety, then fair enough - but playing on for one ball with no radical change in conditions and then stopping is very puzzling.
