Probably at some point in the 80s and even then not the foul orange muck.
It would have been Golden Shred Lime marmalade

Not for 6 months or so - last time was in a port & marmalade sauce I made to go with some pan-fried duck breasts. I've only ever had it on toast a couple of times in my life (I'm 42). Too sweet for me.

Usually have a jar on the go in the fridge. Don't have it all that often though - a jar probably does me for about 6 months.

Thick cut, of course. Anything else is for wusses!

Hotel/B&B Breakfast obviously. The sort of place that doesn't have a breakfast buffet, so you have to eat the toast to get your monies worth, you look around and there is the miniature pot of Marmalade.

I doubt they even bother putting it in big jars these days.

A babybel
A swig of milk
A few grapes.

Let the toast cool in the toaster (must remain vertical) then splash it all over.

Do not, DO NOT double dip the butter knife.

Horrible mess in both the butter and jar.

Genuinely spooky - I had it THIS MORNING on a whim for the first time in MONTHS
