I thought similar in the early 80s. Taking nothing for granted this time !

As its my local club, I’m absolutely delighted to see Pools back in the Football League. As a town it gets a really bad press, but it’s a great place. The club have naturally really struggled since relegation, and there was talk that they’d have been in really serious trouble if they hadn’t gone up. Their current owner has form when it comes to walking away from clubs in trouble (he did it to Darlington). Hopefully the promotion might encourage a few potential buyers to come forward. The Hollywood duo who took over Wrexham were actually interested in Pools originally, but the chairman apparently got greedy with the asking price when he found out who was behind the consortium.
