Looking at the last couple of years before the covid-AIDs-shit, Brighton played the first friendly on 13th or 14th or 15th July... certainly wouldnt be impossible to have one of the first friendlies of the pre-season against a USG playing one of their last friendlies of the pre-season.

They're hoping to have one vs Rangers as part of a pre-season trip to Scotland too (per Naylor's tweet) - not sure of the dates though.
