Whilst helping my mother go through my late fathers, who was a life long Albion fan, things in the loft we came across his winning Lifeline cheque for £1000 from 1992. For the younger members on here Lifeline was a way for the club to raise extra funds, where you signed up and handed over your money to the club with the chance of winning various prizes with the top prize of £1000, which my father managed to win
Remember the presentation was during halftime of the Blackburn Rovers game (lost 3-0). We were guests in the boardroom before and at halftime, and sat in the directors box. might have over indulged with the hospitality. They got A Lister 'Actor' Chris Ellison (from the Bill) to present it. Got our photos taken on the pitch and were in a later programme
