Fiveways
Sanchez 7
White 8 -- a few errors, but quick and solid beyond that
Webster 7 -- a few misplaced passes, but plenty of other good ones, impressive pace too
Burn 7 -- usual commitment, some great stuff, some uncoordinated stuff, but you've gotta love him
Gross 6
Alzate 7 -- made a few naive decisions, and still looks a bit lightweight for the defensive part of CM, but great to see him back looking near his best, with his audacity, vision and technique
Bissouma 7 -- top stuff again, but subdued a little by the early yellow
Moder 7 -- solid, professional reliable: look forward to him stepping forward over the next year or two
Ali J 7.5 -- showed his quality, a real shame that that finish just went wide. I suspect he'll be with us next season, hope he shows more of his undoubted ability
Trossard 5 -- not much came off for him
Welbeck 7.5 -- fed off scraps a bit, but stunning movement and dink for the goal

Subs:
Lallana 6
Tau 6.5 -- their defence was split for the pass, so it wasnt' the most difficult, but he did what he needed to do
Zeqiri 6

a galaxy far far away
Disclaimer - bit pissed

Sanchez - 6 - As ever, not loads to do. Positioning looked v suspect for the goal, but it went in off the post so he wouldn't have stopped it anyway. Looked very assured with his feet

White - 6 - Brilliant as seeing and snuffing out danger. Agree with the summarisers saying he should have been on his feet not looking for a free kick when Benhrama scored.
Webster - 6 - Shaky in possession. Still not back to full form after injury
Burn - 7- MOM - Another wholehearted display

Gross - 5 - decent player painfully out of position
Moder - 5 - decent player painfully out of position
Alzate - 6 - Played a few nice forward balls. Still carrying himself like youth player. I'd love to see him act like a ****. Boot someone in the air then scream at him, that sort of thing. Too nice at the moment.
Bissouma - 6 - Obvious quality in front of the back 4. More rubbish shooting. Woeful again. And generally slowed us down too much when attacking

Jahanbaksh - 5 - Total mixed bag, Had chances to really stake his claim by contributing quality delivery. Didn't do it. I'm still not convinced (three seasons in).
Trossard - 4 - Auditioning for a part in the upcoming rehashed Hollywood blockbuster "the invisible man"
Wellbeck - 7 - Did little apart from score. I'll take that.

Lallana - 5 - didn't do much
Tau - 7 - Go on then, played Danny in nicely.

Overall - 5 - Definitely in the bottom half of our performances this season. Need to attack quicker. Much quicker if we're going to get the 2 or 3 goals a game you need to get up the table in this division. Safe option taken way too many times.

Sanchez: 7 - Shame the goal just beat him. A moment where he deflected the ball into the centre of the 6 yard box was not clever but generally good handling and distribution.

White: 8 - Very solid showing his pace to clear up a few times. Not at fault for the goal, we just tend to concede like that.

Webster: 8 - Stood up so well against hench Antonio and had some great attacking passes too.

Burn: 8 - West Ham needed a stunner to score against us tonight and he was one of the reasons why. Really great positioning and some great blocks and tackles. Always an option and willing runner when we were on the break.

Groß: 6 - A moment or two of genius but he’ll never affect the game too much from RWB. Not his position but he was fine.

Alzate: 7 - The playmaker in centre midfield and he’ll never be the destroyer so Lallana and Groß are ahead of him but really neat and tidy. The sort of player who, if added goals to their game, would be a regular.

Bissouma: 8 - Dominated the midfield again and kept us ticking over. Always there when we needed him, just the same about how Lallana’s back and his clearance met.

Moder: 6 - Solid but didn’t do much wrong but didn’t really do anything brilliant attacking or defending. Not a wing back in my opinion but needs must.

Jahanbakhsh: 8 - MoM - A real threat in the only position I think it’s worth playing him. He is not good enough as a midfielder, winger or defender in the EPL but having him in the Salah position he played when he was Dutch top scorer gets the best from him. He is a forward, play him there or get rid. Some lovely balls into the box a real No.9 poacher would have for some joy from.

Trossard: 6 - He never really got going. Poor in the 1st half but improved in the second. Needs to be a lot more consistent.

Welbeck: 8 - Gets the high score for his finish, not selfish or direct enough in the 1st half but played better in the second where he stuck to the left flank more.

Subs:
Lallana: 7 - Took control of the game but got his back in the way to give West Ham the slice of luck they’ve had in most of their matches this season.

Tau: 7 - Was average (6) until that brilliant through-ball for Welbz.

Zeqiri: 6 - Can’t remember him touching the ball much.

I'd go with this. 7's generous for Wellbeck and Tau but understandable. Not enough drive forward from defense or midfield and poor runs from the front three on many occasions.

Sanchez 7

Sanchez 7
White 7 Good game. So often nobody to give ball to when going forward
Webster 6 Gave forwards too much room
Burn 5 Because of injuries have to play him but so poor defending out wide and poor going forward.
Gross 5 Just not a WB.
Alzate 5 Was given a go CM but didnt take opportunity. He is a creative player but just took easy options.
Bissouma 7 Not at his best but easily our best in midfield
Moder 5 Like Gross another out of position
Alli 7 Strange to play him central to start because Potter doesnt use wingers. Just play him WB after all Gross didnt cover RB position much
Trossard 6 Still one forward who will create out of nothing. Doesnt seem to have a definite role apart from covering all. Like Alli until we have wide players play him LWB
Welbeck 7 Mighty hard to play up there on your own. Did OK

Percy just comment it was a worry that several of there attacks started from him unable to retain the ball

Defence - 7
Attack - 5
Mom Ali J at least he tried to attack and provided some lovely crosses.

What a frustrating game but West Ham played their part in that the teams generally cancelled each other out. But could we attack any slower it was more like walking football, we really need more pace whether it is physically or mental we cannot expect to advance playing football at the pace of a 70 year old.
