The Copa America is South America's equivalent of the Euro's and is being played in the same time period.

With Izquierdo, Mac Allister, Alzate and Caicedo all having represented their countries it will be interesting to see if any are involved.

I'm guessing that it is only likely to be Moises Caicedo who sees any action.

Annoyingly I was due to be escorting a group of Aussie fans to the tournament. Both Qatar and Australia were originally invited to participate but neither are now going because of the pandemic.

Oh dear.

It's on at the same time as the Euros

My Mrs is going to kick my ass out of the house with all the football on, so if anyone has a comfy sofa or knows a good divorce lawyer, i'll be in your debt.

Qatar and Australia both playing in the Copa "America". it's almost as bad as the Aussies being involved in the "Eurovision" Song Contest.

I know what you mean! My Mrs has been moaning about how much football I’ve been watching this season with everything televised, I keep telling her it’s finishing next weekend.

I haven’t the heart (bollocks!) to tell her that then it’s the European finals and then a month of internationals!

The good news for your other half is that there's a gap of 34 days between the Euro final and the start of next season :)

Test series, lions tour and Olympics to schedule in.

I'll make it up to her another year

Two groups of five with the top four from each group going through. Good job England aren't in it or they'd be out first round.
Almost impossible for Argentina and Brazil to play each other except in the final. Fixed? of course not.
Few 10 pm KO's, including Argentina v Chile, but Brazil all post midnight.

Unfortunately, it looks like we won't be watching Alexis Mac Allister playing for Argentina in this summer's tournament.
It will be interesting to see how much game time he gets next season for the Albion along with Moises Caicedo and Steven Alzate.

I always remember when I ran a kids team about 20 years ago at the massive relief when rolling substitutes were introduced. It then became far easier to keep all the children and parents happy whilst still trying to win the game.

If they play anywhere I would imagine they would be looking at USA who would be in the same time zone and have the necessary stadiums.
Although due to the short notice I would think that a cancellation of the tournament must be favourite.

Good call regarding the US

A lot of their own tournament’s have been played entirely at one location, creating one big bubble

I’m sure Disney World was used for something

Shame for the lad - but hardly surprising given how relatively little playing time he's had this season. Really hope he breaks through and becomes a regular next season.
