It reminded me of the rugby tackles in Kane in the WC.

Everyone said they were nailed on pens and applauded when given. What’s the difference?

Those are usually not given when the attacker is getting involved too.

Not the case here BDB was making a genuine attempt to play football.
The wolves player was playing Rugby.

Easy decision.
Ridiculous ( though not surprising anymore) that it wasn't looked at.

The ball dropped where Burn would have been, but for the assault. So, penalty. Obviously. I'm not really sure what the argument for No is.

Burn did really well to keep both arms in the air, and this should have convinced VAR if they weren't totally incompetent that wasn't just a 6 of one, half a dozen of the other type thing.

As obvious a pen as the red card was a sending off.

Penalty all day long and the exact scenario that VAR should step in and get the ref to have a look at the monitor. Not sure why it wasn’t reviewed.

As blatant a penalty as I've seen for a while. 100% falls under the clear and obvious error category so clearly as it's Brighton nothing happens

Wrong question! No, it wasn't a penalty - no penalty was given. But it bl**dy well should have been given!

That was the sort of thing that the sensible world (i.e, not VARs) thought that VAR was brought in to put right, not millimetre either way offsides.

What’s his face in studio ‘he doesn’t grab him’ - so by that logic if you stick a leg out and trip someone it’s not a foul as you’ve haven’t kicked him

Yes from me and also from my Wolves friend who sent me a message.

Football is a physical game but doesn’t include all in wrestling.

A clear penalty all day long.

I wonder how much BDB's frame works against him with the ref perhaps overcompensating on the side of the defender who's trying to mark him.

It shouldn't make a difference of course, but the thought did come to mind.
