[Sussex] Bobby Zamora and Mark Noble's flats refused planning permission in Portslade.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
The flats look terribly dull. No imagination at all. Square box on a square box on a square box.

obviously there's no need for more housing in Brighton and Hove, or redevelopment of semi-derelict sites, and any select developments should support car ownership.

The issue is what you put there, not whether there should be anything there at all.
Most modern flats have no architectural merit whatsoever, when a little more imagination could work wonders.

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
Includes the Flexer Sacks site, which has changed hands several times over the last 20 years.

The developer needs to reduce the height by a few stories, to make it acceptable to planners.

That won’t solve the parking problem.

right, architectural merit is so much more important. cant have just rows and rows of identical homes like they built in the old days.
