The interview on some local celebrity's podcast last week with the new Ipswich owner was excellent.
If I was an Ipswich fan I would be very pleased at the new owners knowledge of the club and the area, and also what his future plans are.
His aims all seem very reasonable.

When I played up a Rudgwick they had a band sponsoring them, or connected with the club, can't remember who though!
He's also sponsored the Suffolk Sheep Weight Watchers Club, I'd heard, something about The Shape of Ewe.

Well you can't say I didn't try! Back in 2003 at a charity football match I casually asked Iron Maiden's manager Rod Smallwood if he'd be interested in putting any money into the club. He lives in Hove and fairly well minted. His typically brusque Yorkshireman response was along the lines of " bloody hell not likely bunch of overpaid pansies ". Turns out he's a rugby fanatic
